1:00 pm	Summer___has arrived and I love it! The grass is emerald and flowers are blooming. I have stopped working on the appearance of the front yard and am saving towards next springs remake of the back yard. Right now it is okay. Took Alice to the vet today...she got water in her ear at her bath play time. She weighs 18 1/2 pounds now. The vet said she won't get much bigger. I hope not because she is a perfect sized baby right now. She enter puppy school next Wednesday. I found a shirt perfect for her...Obedience School Dropout!!!!It was too small...darn it. Okay.., writing......whats that you say? oh no, that was me. I write in my head now and hope to hit the keyboard soon. I a reworking a ms that could be a huge seller in the hands of a publisher that wanted to give it a cover in line with the content. Not something a child would like. But I digress...I am working on several ms at the moment. Both hot as the Sahara. I hope to have them ready to send out right away. Must go now and see what baby Alice is into. She's too quiet. 6:56 pm	The Birth Of A Book Its painful, hurtful and so rewarding when the final sentence is typed in. The first reward is the contract offer from editors, then the thrill of readers loving your work. I am so pleased that Siren Books offerd for both my Gunnison brother books. Palace Of The Jaguar will be for sale on June 9th. The Stetson will be coming out a bit later. The covers are up on the beautiful home page for Siren Books. 8:14 pm	New book Sale!!! The Stetson has been sold to Siren Book Publishing. The first issues will be in e_format and in late fall, the print version will be available. It's a great saucy romance with a light thread of suspense throughout. Most importantly, it shows the total downfall of a very tough, seasoned ex-Army Ranger in the hands of a spoiled, but frightened run away girl. 6:30 pm	April One April!!! Means green grass, perfumed breezes and rain. I love the rumble of thunder and the sound of rain on the windows. I now have a lovely concrete patio. For drama, I have a grand lattice work bench and new planters. If it ever gets above freezing, I have a really nice selection of tropical plants and a pottery clock and thermometer. I took down the ancient curtains in the living room today and replaced them with something more simple. Looks much better. I plan to write a few pages when I sign out here. You have to ease back in slowly after such a long absence. Of course, I stopped writing for ten years and came back to sell seven books. So much for that theory. Must go now. 11:34 am	Much Ado About Nothing I have gotten well underway with the Hollywood patio in the front of my home. Just off my front step, a veritable garden of tropical plants and shadows to rest your soul in the hot summer days to come. Most of it is in my imagination right now, but it is coming together. I am having a concrete floor poured and I'll add the rest of the acutriments. What does that mean anyway? On the business end of a pencil, I am trying to save a finished lenthy manuscript to a CD. I am so baffled by those things. So, I am going to Walmart to pick up a few new CD's and try saving this precious but rejected story. After that, its on to The Price. I am a bit skeptical about what genre this book will fit into. Probably none, but that won't stop me. I tried the Sweating thing , writing fast and furious for a certain amount of time, but I don't have that zest left in me right now. Too soon after losing my husband. He is on my mind twenty four hours a day and I spend lots of time wandering through memories. Take care everyone. 7:52 pm	FOOLS SPRING! One day of 70 degree weather!!!!!! So, snow is expected this week!!!!! Global warming my sweet arse. This is real Missouri winter, fade and blow, fade and blow. It will be really outta here in April, except for the surprise ice storm! Hahahaha. Oh well. I amhappy to be alive at any rate. Fighting high blood pressure and low esteem. Bad combo, right. But, I have my darling Alice to hug. She is just getting sweeter every day. She weighs a perfect fighting weight of 12 pounds. Has all her shots now and is free to just grow and thrive. I am writing a bit now. Switching between two contemporarys, Born To Rule and The Price. Hope all of you have been well and getting all you deserve. 9:38 am	Its Still HERE!!!!!!! Winter I mean. Just fooling myself when I buy wicker furniture and order Japanese Peonies.. But, I will be prepared when the sun splits the gray skies and the birds decide to build nests. That's a mystery around here. The yards have no twigs or string or horse hair for the birds to use. I feel sorry for them. There is such a thing as being too neat. So, I'll throw some stuff out for them pretty soon. Oh yes, I am supposed to be a writer. So, I am working [really I am] on repairing the opening of The Stetson. Fab book about another Gunnison brother and his fated meeting with Abigail.. I know you're going to like it. Have to get ready for my day at the spa. Lord I need it. Tomorrow, I would like to discuss the insanity of pretense. Yep. Thats what I said. 8:34 pm	Miss Alice Funny and sweet, still not sure what the word "no" means. She gave me the fright of my life several nights ago. She was playing around my recliner like she does most of the time, but in her rambunctious play, she got her little arm caught in the mechanism of the footrest and twisted it. For a split second I couldn't believe her arm was twisted like that. I screamed...she screamed and we both cried while I got her out of the horrible thing. Well, in one minute flat, I had the vet on the phone and on my way to get her there. My God, I don't remember driving with her in my arms,but I did. To make a bad story short, she was okay and I was the one really suffering. I refuse to use the footrest on my chair now, cause she still plays on my lap and has forgotten the monster that lives there. Bless her heart. 9:58 pm	PUPPY POWER.... Hello all, I have been really really busy.. New puppy in the house. Her name is Alice June Womack, weighs 6pounds give or take a few ounces. She is 10 weeks old and DARLING!!! Oh, yeah,,she's a Boston Terrier. Black and white and getting brindle. Trying to house train her is very TRYING! She's doing a little better, but still needs work. I will get back into my writing soon, Have lots of plots that need developing. 8:14 pm	Short and to the point I have something new in the works and it is exactly what I need at this time. I have decided Christmas isn't happening until next year. So, until that time, I'll give my new project 1000 percent of my time and effort. By the way, adding to my upside down life, it seems my web mistress has deserted me. Okay, off to try and find a new web page designer and a host. I may drop that whole idea and stick with LiveJournal and Squarespace. *Shrug* I have tried to re-design this journal.
